Weekend Weather Should Be Better For Mayfest In Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, TX – The weather should be much better this weekend if you are interested in checking out the Mayfest festival at Trinity Park in Fort Worth. The festival includes all genres of music on three stages and will showcase more than 40 local bands.
About 200,000 people are expected to attend the festival that covers 33 acres.
The covered Oasis Stage is located in The Oasis Area and includes all genres of music. The Art Stage is located in the northern area of the festival grounds in The Art & Gift Market Area. An eclectic assortment of music is played on the Art Stage specifically bluegrass and jazz.The Riverbank Stage is located in the Riverbank Area located on the banks of the Trinity River in the southern portion of the festival grounds. Music from different genres is played here with a focus on country western and Texas country.
Located in the southern-most area of the festival grounds, the Midway is home to an expanded carnival area, The Midway Stage, where local performers entertain patrons. All carnival rides and bounce houses only accept Mayfest coupons for payment. There are nine coupon booths throughout the park as well as numerous ATM machines.
Patrons can park at one of three nearby parking lots and walk to the North Gate. Parking is $10 per car at all three lots. Cash only.
Mayfest officials also recommend bike riding to the festival, taking the T’s Route 7 bus or the Drop-And-Park option where drivers may drop of their passengers steps from the South Gate before parking at one of the three parking lots. Find more information here.
